The event venue, travel, and parking
Visit the venue and travel page for more information about the venue, parking, and getting to and around Rochester.
Check-in for the conference
You will need to check in to receive your conference ID badge. Your badge is your golden ticket of admission to all the fun!
Refer to the schedule for check-in times. There will be a check-in session on Wednesday, July 23, and the morning of Thursday, July 24.
Get on the Wifi network
More information about the Wifi network will be available at the event.
Check the weather forecast
Summers can be pretty moderate in Rochester, NY. The average high for July is the low 80s, with the low in the low 60s. View more weather information
As the event approaches, check the forecast to decide whether to pack an umbrella.
You can get more detailed forecasts from Weather Underground or the National Weather Service.
What to wear and what to pack
The dress at the conference is business casual, emphasizing the “casual”. Jeans and T-shirts will be just fine. Session rooms may be chilly, so you may want to bring a sweater or dress in layers.
In the morning, our sessions will be seated “classroom style”, meaning we will have tables for everyone! In the afternoon, there will be a mixture of tables and chairs.
- A reusable water bottle (stay hydrated!)
- Notebook and pen
- Laptop
- Phone, phone charger, and/or power banks
- Business cards
- Comfortable shoes
- A light jacket – in case the venue is chilly
Know what meals to plan for
This year’s lunch plans will be different from our past events. Lunch will not be provided with this year’s registration fees.
The venue is surrounded by a variety of dining options. Attendees will have ample time to gather food from a nearby quick-service location.
We plan to provide beverages (coffee, soda, water) and possibly light snacks.
Talk with other attendees
We have two attendees’ Slack channels for this year’s event:
- For in-person attendees only: #2025-attendees-inperson
- For in-person AND online attendees: #2025-attendees-discussion
A channel for in-person attendees allows us to connect at the event without creating “noise” for the online attendees. Use the in-person channel to ask questions, discuss ideas, or plan adventures!
We encourage you to use the #2025-attendees-discussion during sessions to ask questions and chat about topics with online attendees.
Not in the WPCampus Slack workspace? Our Get involved form will take care of that for you.
Join the online watch stream
We will host our online streams via Zoom. Visit the watch page during the event to join the sessions.
Volunteer at the event
WPCampus depends on our volunteers to make this event a success. There are many ways you can help. Please let us know if you’d like to volunteer at the event.

Order the event t-shirt
As soon as the event shirt is designed, we will make the design available for online order.
Joining us in person? If requested, you will receive a shirt as part of your registration. Want to order more from the online options? Go for it!
Social gatherings
What’s the fun of attending so many incredible sessions if you can’t hang out with the other attendees, discuss what you learned, and expand on it? We look forward to getting to know you, so we hope you can join us for a few social and networking events.
We will post social event information soon.
